TRAINING Management

PGC has a registered training facility on all of its operations. We are providing accredited Training to our Employees as well as the community.

 

The following accredited training courses are provided:

 

  • Qualification Courses

  • Further Education and training Certificate: Mining Operations

  • National Certificate: Rock Breaking Surface Excavations

  • Skills Programmes Courses

  • Blasting Assistant in Surface Mines and Quarries

  • Competent Person A

  • Operating Mobile Equipment for Surface Excavation Operations

  • Occupational Health and Safety Activities for; Part Time/Workplace Representatives and Shop Stewards in the Mining and Minerals.

The following accredited machinery courses are provided:

​

  • Excavate and load material using hydraulic excavator

  • Grade material using a motor grader

  • Operate tractor loader backhoe

  • Operate an articulated dump truck

  • Suppress dust using a water bowser

  • Use a track dozer to move material

  • Lift and move material and equipment by means of a forklift

The following accredited engineering training courses are provided:

  • Basic Rigging training

  • Truck Mounted Crane training

  • Working at Heights
